Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is an infectious disease that can be fatal in a relatively short time. East Java, the second largest population in Indonesia causes dengue factor more easily spread process. Research to determine the factors that influence the number of DBD cases in order to be able to follow up effectively and efficiently. Therefore, modeling is needed to know the cause of the increasing number of dengue cases in East Java Province by taking into account the effect of region and the effect of time (year) that is using panel data regression. Selection of the best model of panel data regression is FEM model of time. Significant factors for the number of dengue fever cases in East Java are the percentage of poor people, the percentage of people who live clean and healthy lives, and the percentage of healthy homes. The dummy variable based on time is not significant to the number of dengue cases in East Java. The FEM model of time can be explained by the predictor variable of 90.1%, while the remainder is explained by other variables not included in the model.
