Abstract

PT. Petrokimia Gresik adalah salah satu perusahaan produsen pupuk di Indonesia yang termasuk dalam anak perusahaan PT. Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company (PIHC). Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pupuk nasional dan mengurangi ketergantungan impor bahan baku pupuk, PT. Petrokimia Gresik sedang melakukan ekspansi dengan membangun pabrik baru Amurea II yang kebutuhan energinya akan disuplai oleh PT. Pupuk Indonesia Energi melalui proyek Independent Power Producer (IPP) yaitu Gresik Gas Cogeneration Plant( GGCP) sebesar 26.8 MW. Dalam dunia industri, kontinuitas proses produksi sangat bergantung kepada ketersediaan tenaga listrik. Kontinuitas tersebut dapat dijaga dengan menggunakan sistem proteksi tenaga listrik yang efektif dan selektif. Akibat pembangunan pabrik Amurea II dan IPP GGCP, dapat mengakibatkan diperlukannya setting koordinasi proteksi yang berbeda dari keadaan sebelumnya, oleh karena itu perlu diadakan evaluasi rating hubung singkat peralatan eksisting dan level hubung singkat di titik-titik sambungan baru untuk perencanaan rating peralatan baru yang akan dipasang. Pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan studi koordinasi proteksi untuk mengetahui setting rele yang tepat setelah dilakukan penambahan pabrik Amurea II serta pembangkitan dari IPP Gresik Gas Cogeneration Plant. Hasil koordinasi proteksi ini dapat melindungi dari gangguan arus lebih berupa arus beban lebih dan arus hubung singkat.

PT. Petrokimia Gresik is one of feltilizer producer company in Indonesia which is structurally under PT. Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company (PIHC). To provide national need of feltilizer and to reduce the imports dependency of fertilizer raw materials, PT. Petrokimia Gresik is currently expanding by building a new feltilizer factory Amurea II, which later would be powered by an Independent Power Producer(IPP) Gresik Gas Cogeneration Plant (GGCP) with the capacity of 26.8 MW. In undustrial world, the production continuity is heavily dependent on the availibility of electrical power. That continuity could be maintained by having an effective and selective electrical power protection system. The construction of Amurea II factory and IPP GGCP could result into the need of new protection coordination setting, so there is a need to evaluate the short circuit rating of existing equipment and short circuit level at new connection points for planning the rating of new equipments to be installed. Study of protection coordination will be conducted in this final project to determine the proper relay setting by considering the addition of Amurea II factory and Independent Power Producer Gresik Gas Cogeneration Plant. The result of this protection coordination would later be able to protect the system from overcurrent faults including overload and short circuit faults.
