Abstract

Lahan kritis merupakan tanah yang mengalami atau dalam proses kerusakan kimia, fisik dan biologi yang dapat mengganggu atau kehilangan fungsinya di dalam lingkungan. Kondisi ini dapat merusak tata air dan lingkungan sekitarnya. Dampak dari lahan kritis adalah penurunan tingkat kesuburan tanah, berkurangnya ketersediaan sumber air pada musim kemarau serta banjir pada musim hujan. Kabupaten Sampang sendiri adalah salah satu daerah di Indonesia yang kerap dilanda kekeringan ketika musim kemarau tiba.
Penginderaan jauh dan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) dengan metode skoring dapat digunakan untuk pengambilan keputusan mengenai pengelolaan lahan secara tepat untuk menghindari kerusakan ekosistem yang ada. Peta tingkatan lahan kritis dihasilkan dari overlay peta kawasan hutan lindung, kawasan budidaya pertanian, dan kawasan lindung di luar hutan yang sesuai dengan peraturan Departemen Kehutanan No. P.4/V-SET/2013. Peta kerapatan vegetasi diperoleh dari hasil interpretasi citra landsat 7 ETM+ dan landsat 8 OLI dengan metode transformasi EVI.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian perubahan lahan kritis dari tahun 2008 sampai dengan tahun 2017 didapatkan hasil perubahan lahan dengan kondisi sangat kritis mengalami pengurangan sebesar 0,35 % atau seluas 1.237,1 Ha, lahan dengan kondisi kritis mengalami penambahan sebesar 1,895 % atau seluas 7025,5 Ha, lahan dengan kondisi agak kritis mengalami pengurangan lahan kritis sebesar 4,72 % atau seluas 130633,94 Ha, lahan dengan kondisi potensial kritis mengalami pengurangan lahan kritis sebesar 0,189 % atau seluas 334,74 Ha, dan lahan dengan kondisi tidak kritis mengalami penambahan sebesar 3,365 % atau seluas 16286,74 Ha.

Critical land is a land that is experiencing or in the process of chemical, physical and biological damage that can interfere with or lose its function in the environment. The occurrence of critical land can result from the use of land that is not in accordance with conservative requirements. This condition can damage the water system and the surrounding environment. The impact of critical land is decreasing soil fertility, reducing availability of water sources during the dry season and flooding in the rainy season. Sampang regency is one of region in Indonesia that often hit by drought when the dry season arrived.
The need for mapping the critical level of land in the DAS area in Sampang Regency by using remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS) is deciding the land management properly. Moreover, it’s not damaging the existing ecosystem. Critical land level maps are generated from overlays protected forest areas, agricultural cultivation areas, and outside protected areas that is met to Ministry of Forestry regulation no. P.4 / V-SET / 2013 for the scoring method and weighting of each critical site determinant of critical land. Vegetation density map was obtained from the interpretation of Landsat 7 ETM + and landsat 8 OLI with EVI transformation method.
Based on the results of the processing of critical land level obtained the results of land changes from 2008 to 2017, very critical condition of the land reduced of 1.237,1 Ha or 0,35%, land with critical condition increased of 7.025,5 Ha or 1,895%, land with rather critical condition land had decreased of critical land area of 130.633,94 Ha or 4.72%, land with critical potential condition had reduced of critical land area of 334,7 Ha or 0,189%, and land with uncritical condition increased of 16286,74 Ha or 3,365% of the research area.
