Abstract

Islanding merupakan kondisi saat distributed generator (DG) tetap menyalurkan daya ke beban sedangkan sisi grid gagal menyalurkan daya ke beban dikarenakan terputus dari sistem grid-connected DG. Islanding mengakibatkan masalah kualitas daya, integritas sistem, serta keamanan pada sistem. Dibutuhkan suatu metode anti-islanding untuk mengantisipasi fenomena islanding.
Permasalahan yang timbul kemudian adalah mengenai keandalan dari metode anti-islanding. Metode anti-islanding yang baik tidak akan menghasilkan non detection zone (NDZ). Non detection zone (NDZ) merupakan daerah yang tidak dapat terdeteksi oleh metode anti-islanding jika terjadi islanding.
Pada tugas akhir kali ini digunakan metode pasif anti-islanding berdasar pengamatan perubahan frekuensi pada sistem dengan kondisi beban yang bervariasi pada point common coupling (PCC) . Pada saat terjadi islanding apabila nilai frekuensi tidak memenuhi standar dengan rentan waktu tertentu, maka sistem akan memerintah CB yang terletak pada inverter untuk trip. Hasil pada penelitian kali ini menunjukkan bahwa saat terjadi islanding terdapat beberapa kondisi yang terdeteksi dan tidak terdeteksi oleh metode anti-islanding.

Islanding refers to the condition when the distributed generation keeps send the power to the load while the grid side is isolated. Islanding can causes problem of power quality, integrity system, also security system. To anticipate the causes of the effect of islanding, it need anti-islanding method.
The problem that arises later is about the realibility of the anti-islanding method. A good anti-islanding method will not produce non-detection zone (NDZ). Non detection zone (NDZ) is the area that can’t be detected by anti-islanding method in case of islanding.
In this final project used passive anti-islanding method based on observation of frequency change in system with varying load condition at point common coupling (PCC). When islanding occurs, if the frequency value does not reach the standard with a certain vulnerable time, then the system will command circuit breaker (CB) located in the inverter to trip. Result of this research is there are some models of the system that detected and not detected with the anti-islanding method when islanding occured.
