Abstract

Global oil and gas industry has developed rapidly due to the increasing
market demand. Indonesia is one of the countries producing oil and gas. Natuna
Sea has some oil and gas drilling blocks, one of which is the oil field Snapper
are planned to be exploited. Oil production is more effective if carried out near
the reservoir coupled with the existence of a place to accommodate the oil before
it is transferred to Java and surrounding areas by a shuttle tanker. This
background research on the Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) which aims
to meet the needs of oil field in the Natuna Sea in terms of infrastructure. New
build from the initial design to the size of the main hull barge Lpp = 215.2 m, B
= 41.6 m, H = 23.2 m, T = 14 857 m preexisting conducted further analysis of
the condition of Damage Stability her. Starting from the first step by redrawing
drawings, 3D modeling, pemriksaan tanks to the design input data processing to
be tested into some checking Damage Stability criteria in SOLAS 2009. This
research led to the conclusion whether the design of hull barge floating storage
and offloading acceptable from Damage Stability its terms.
