Abstract

Telah difabrikasi directional coupler konfigurasi 6×6 star coupler berbahan serat optik plastik step indeks multimode tipe FD-620-10 dengan menggunakan pendekatan metode fused biconical tapered, yakni dengan menggabungkan enam buah core sepanjang daerah kupasan kemudian direkatkan menggunakan benang pada daerah coupling 35 mm, 40 mm, 45 mm, 50 mm, dan 55 mm. Untuk menggambarkan kemampuan directional yang telah difabrikasi, directional coupler dikarakterisasi dengan parameter coupler coupling ratio dan excess loss sehingga didapatkan pada daerah coupling 35 mm dengan input A1, 45 mm dengan input A1 dan B1, 50 mm dengan input F1, dan 55mm dengan input F1, dapat dugunakan sebagai pembagi daya atau pembagi berkas cahaya ============================================================================================= Fabrication directional coupler with configuration 6×6 star coupler use multimode step index plastic optical fiber with metode fused biconical tapered was proposed, are fused six core in coupling area and then tied with woll in coupling area 35mm, 40mm, 45mm, 50mm, and 55mm. To demonstrate the performance of the device, directional coupler were characteritation in terms of the coupling ratio, excess loss, and directivity. Then we get in coupling area 35mm with input port A1, 45mm with input A1 and B1, 50mm with input port F1, and 55mm with input port F1, can be used to be power devider or beam splitter.
