Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian sintesis material untuk bahan elektroda superkapasitor. Bahan dasar yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah rGO dari tempurung kelapa tua yang dicampurkan dengan larutan HCl dalam proses penyayatan kimia serta glukosa sebagai material spacer. Penelitian ini akan menyelidiki pengaruh pengenceran HCl dalam proses penyayatan secara kimia serta menyelidiki pengaruh penambahan massa glukosa terhadap nilai kapasitansi dan rapat energi elektroda superkapasitor. Karakterisasi elektroda digunakan XRD, XRF, CHONS, PSA, CV, FTIR, serta SEM-EDX. Hasil pengujian XRD memperlihatkan bahan dasar tempurung kelapa merupakan rGO dengan sudut difraksi 2θ=〖25〗^o dan 〖44〗^o. Pengujian XRF dan analisis CHONS menunjukkan unsur utama terbanyak adalah karbon (C) sebanyak 81%. Pengujian PSA menghasilkan lapisan rGO telah tereduksi ketebalannya hingga di bawah 70 nm. Pengujian CV menghasilkan nilai kapasitansi terbesar yang dimiliki oleh variasi sampel rGO/glukosa variasi pengenceran HCl (perbandingan HCl : rGO : Glu = 1 : 1 : 1) sebesar 39,7 F/g. Selanjutnya, hasil pengujian FTIR yang menunjukan gugus fungsi rGO berupa C=C, O-H, dan C-H sedangkan untuk hasil pengujian SEM-EDX memperlihatkan persebaran unsur yang telah merata.

Research was conducted to synthesize material a for supercapacitor electrode. The basic ingredients of rGO from old coconut shell we used to mixed with HCl in the chemical exfoliation as well as glucose spacer. The dilution effect of HCl in the process of chemical exfoliation and the effect of adding mass of glucose against electrode specific capacitance have been investigated. Characterization of electrode was performed by using XRD, XRF, CHONS, PSA, CV, FTIR, and SEM-EDX. The results of XRD shows the basic ingredients of coconut shell is RGO with diffraction angles 2θ=〖25〗^o and 〖44〗^o. The result of XRF and CHONS analyzer exhibits the most major elements which is carbon (C) as much as 81%. The PSA has resulted in the layer thickness of RGO, reduced down to 70 nm. The CV test gives result that the largest capacitance value variations in the sample rGO/glucose with dilution HCl variations (comparison rGO: Glu:HCl = 1:1:1) has value 39,7 F/g. Furthermore, the results of FTIR shows that produced RGO functional groups are C=C, O-H, and C-H while the SEM-EDX demonstrates the distribution of elements which has been spread uniformly.
