Abstract

Penggunaan sistem jaringan distribusi ring memiliki permasalahan yang kompleks. Disamping itu dengan adanya penambahan pembangkit tersebar (Distributed Generation) akan mengakibatkan topologi jaringan berubah-ubah. Hal tersebut disebabkan karena kondisi operasi pembangkit yang dapat berubah yaitu ketika kondisi grid on, DG 1 on, DG 2 on, lalu terhubung grid on dan DG 2 on, lalu terhubung grid on dan DG 1 on, dan yang terakhir pada kondisi grid on. Hal tersebut dapat mengakibatkan adanya perubahan arus hubung singkat sehingga diperlukan koordinasi proteksi yang baik pada sistem jaringan distribusi ring. Koordinasi proteksi yang dilakukan harus mempertimbangkan nilai arus gangguan dan arah arus gangguan. Arah arus gangguan harus diperhitungkan dengan baik pada arah forward maupun reverse. Dari permasalahan tersebut maka dibutuhkan metode untuk mengurangi kompleksitas koordinasi proteksi pada sistem jaringan distribusi ring. Pada tugas akhir ini akan digunakan metode pengaman yang adaptif, yang memanfaatkan ANN (Artificial Neural Network) untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut di sistem distribusi ring. Artificial Neural Network digunakan untuk memodelkan sistem, yang nantinya akan meghasilkan setting rele yang mampu mengikuti perubahan kondisi pada sistem. Parameter yang menjadi output dari Artificial Neural Network adalah nilai TDS (Time Dial Setting) dan nilai Ipickup. ========================================================================================================================== The use of the ring distribution network system has a complex problem. Other than that, the addition of Distributed Generation will lead to a changing network topology. This is caused by the generator’s operating conditions that could change, the conditions are grid on, DG 1 on, DG 2 on, then connected to the grid on and DG 2 on, then connected the grid on and DG 1 on, and the last condition is the grid on condition. These condition can result into a change of short circuit current, so it is necessary to have a good protection coordination in a ring distribution network. Protection coordination undertaken should consider the value of the fault current and it’s direction. Direction of fault current must be reckoned with either in the direction of forward or reverse. From the problems stated before, a method to reduce the complexity of protection coordination system of ring distribution network is needed. An adaptive protection method, using ANN (Artificial Neural Network) to address the constraints in the ring distribution system will be used in this final project. Artificial Neural Network is used to model the system, which later would result into a relay setting which is able to follow the condition changes on the system. The parameters that will be the output of the Artificial Neural Network is the value of TDS (Time Dial Setting) and the value of Ipickup.
