Abstract

Ketersediaan air di Indonesia mencapai 15.500 m3 per kapita per tahun. Angka ini masih jauh di atas ketersediaan air rata-rata di dunia yang hanya 8.000 m3 per tahun. Hal ini dikarenakan air payau di daerah pesisir memiliki kandungan natrium klorida (NaCl) yang tinggi sehingga menyebabkan kandungan garam yang berlebih. Air payau disebabkan oleh adanya intrusi air laut ke jalur air tanah. Peristiwa inilah yang menyebabkan tingginya kadar garam air sumur di daerah pesisir. Pada percobaan kali ini digunakan Pre-Treatment alat (MFA) Media filter Antrasit dan atau Demineralisas. Hal ini dikarenakan antrasit mampu bertahan pada tekanan tinggi dan dapat secarah mudah dibersihkan. Dan Demineralisasi untuk sebagai penukar ion. Pembuatan prototype Desalinasi Air Payau terdiri dari perancangan prototype, persiapan pembuatan sampel, pembuatan prototype, dan pengolahan sampel. Pengolahan air payau ini terdiri dari dua proses utama, yaitu filtrasi dan Reverse Osmosis. Produk yang dihasilkan, selanjutnya dianalisa pada parameter pH, salinitas, TDS, turbidity dan Total Hardness dalam kandungan air pada Media filter Antrasit dan Reverse Osmosis. ================================================================= Water availability in Indonesia reaches 15,500 m3 per capita per year. This figure is still well above the average water availability in the world which is only 8,000 m3 per year. This is because brackish water in coastal areas has high sodium chloride (NaCl) content which causes excess salt content. Brackish water is caused by the intrusion of sea water into the groundwater path. It is this event that causes the high salinity of the well water in the coastal areas. In this experiment used Pre-Treatment tool (MFA) Antrasite and / or Demineralisas filter media. This is because the anthracite is able to withstand high pressure and can be as easily cleansed. And Demineralization for as ion exchanger. Creation of brackish water desalination prototype consists of designing prototype, sample preparation preparation, prototype manufacture, and sample processing. This brackish water treatment consists of two main processes, namely filtration and Reverse Osmosis. The resulting product is then analyzed on pH, salinity, TDS, turbidity and Total Hardness parameters in the water content of Antrasite and Reverse Osmosis filter media.
