Abstract

Analisa lost in hyperspace terhadap website ITS dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat LiH pada website ITS melalui serangkaian percobaan.

Website in this globalization era becomes a key component of organizational
survival in global competition. This also applies to university websites. There are
several factors that affect the level of usability of a website. There is another
phenomenon that often occurs when someone is in the hypertext world of Lost in
Hyperspace. Lost in Hyperspace (LiH) is a phenomenon in the hypertext world
that refers to a condition where when a user resides on a particular document, it no
longer understands where it is, or the user can not return to the information he
previously accessed, or the user can not Considering the extent to which he has
read the main points that have been read. The analysis of lost in hyperspace
against the ITS website is done to determine the level of LiH on the ITS website
through a series of experiments. The experiments included measuring linkweighted lostness metrics, the mental models metrics, and questionnaires. The
experiments were conducted by twelve respondents who met certain criteria. The
result of link-weighted metric calculation will show how lost someone when
accessing a website. The calculation results of the new mental models metric will
show how acceptable the design of a website by the user. Meanwhile, the
calculation of the questionnaire shows the perception of a person related to the
design of a website. The results of these questionnaire calculations are subjective
depending on the respondents. From these three calculations resulted in the
analysis of interrelated research betw
