Abstract

Penelitian dengan fokus analisa momen tensor dan pola bidang patahan dapat dilakukan pada gempa bumi wilayah Sumatera pada tahun 2016 magnitude ≥4.8 SR dengan memanfaatkan program ISOLA-GUI. Prinsip program ini mengolah tiga komponen gelombang seismik yang terekam dalam seismogram. Data berupa gelombang diolah sesuai masing-masing event gempa yang terjadi dan digunakan perhitungan fungsi Green serta inversi. Pada tahap inversi digunakan 4 filter f1, f2, f3, f4 yang diisi sesuai event. Plotting untuk hasil dilakukan setelah tahap inversi dan didapatkan nilai variance reduction yang bernilai mendekati 1. Plot selanjutnya berupa nilai momen tensor beserta pola bidang patahan yang disimbolkan dengan beachball. Pengolahan tersebut dilakukan pada seluruh event gempa. Setelah perhitungan, pengolahan, dan interpretasi, maka nilai momen tensor yang didapatkan yaitu Mrr = 3.444e15 hingga 8.403e18, Mtt = 6.665e15 hingga 2.646e18, Mpp = 1.801e15 hingga 0.836e18 serta nilai Mrt = 2.687e15 hingga 1.133e18, Mrp = 0.072e15 hingga 6.319e18, Mtp = 1.679e15 hingga 2.091e18. Serta bentuk pola focal mechanism bidang sesar wilayah Sumatera terdiri atas normal-slip pada area Active Subduction dan strike-slip serta oblique fault pada area Mentawai Fault.

The research with focus of moment tensor analysis and fault mechanism pattern have been measured by ISOLA-GUI program to earthquake events at Sumatera all to 2016 with magnitude ≥4.8SR. This program’s principle is using three seismic component that recorded by seismogram. Data from seismogram as wavelength processed accordingly to each earthquake events and also processed using Green function with filter inversion. The filter inversion step used four filters such as f1, f2, f3, f4 that will be filled accordingly to each events. Plot for the result is done after the inversion and variance reduction value that close to 1 will be obtained. The next plot is about moment tensor value and also the fault plane pattern that symbolized by beachball. This process was done for whole of the earthquake events. After the measurement, processing and interpretating steps, then the result of moment tensor value Mrr = 3.444e15 to 8.403e18, Mtt = 6.665e15 to 2.646e18, Mpp = 1.801e15 to 0.836e18 also Mrt = 2.687e15 to 1.133e18, Mrp = 0.072e15 to 6.319e18, Mtp = 1.679e15 to 2.091e18. As well as the fault pattern, the result is normal-slip pattern at active subduction area and strike-slip so oblique fault pattern located at Mentawai Fault area.
