Abstract

Pada penelitian ini akan membahas tentang perancangan alternatif power supply untuk Pabrik Kaltim 1A PT. Pupuk Kalimantan Timur. Kaltim-1A yang sebelumnya merupakan pabrik dari unit POPKA dan eks KPA memproduksi urea 1700 ton/hari dan ammonia 2000 ton/hari. Kondisi saat ini system kelistrikan Kaltim-1A hanya disupply dari switchgear 11kV KDM. Oleh karena itu kontinuitas supply listrik Kaltim-1A sangat berpengaruh pada schedule maintenance dan risiko kegagalan dari sisi switchgear 11kV KDM. Pemadaman switchgear 11kV KDM mengkakibatkan beban-beban listrik pada Switchgear tersebut akan kehilangan power, sehingga Kaltim-1A harus shutdown.
Agar kontinuitas operasional Kaltim-1A tidak bergantung dari supply power dari switchgear 11kV KDM, maka didalam penelitian ini disampaikan salah satu alternative untuk menyediakan power supply pada switchgear Kaltim-1A yang terdiri dari 16-SG-101 milik POPKA dan HSG-1 milik eks KPA yaitu dengan menggunakan ekses power dari Steam Turbine Generator STG-2. Saat ini total load normal operasi dari Kaltim-1A sebesar 15.1 MW dengan rincian 11.1 MW untuk switchgear 16-SG-101 milik POPKA dan 4 MW untuk switchgear HSG-1 milik eks KPA.
Dengan tersedianya alternatif power pada Pabrik-1A oleh STG-2, maka kontinuitas power supply dapat terjaga sebagai penopang operasional proses produksi dan keandalan Kaltim-1A.

This research will discuss about the design of alternative power supply for PT Kaltim 1A. Pupuk Kalimantan Timur. Kaltim-1A was a plant of ex-KPA unit and POPKA unit producing urea 1700 tons / day and ammonia 2000 tons / day. The current condition of electrical systems Kaltim-1A is only supplied from 11kV switchgear KDM. Therefore the continuity of electricity supply Kaltim-1A is very depends on the maintenance schedule and the risk of failure of the 11kV switchgear KDM. 11kV switchgear outage KDM causing electrical loads in the Switchgear will lose power, so that the Kaltim-1A should be shutdown
In order for continuity Kaltim-1A does not depend on the power supply of switchgear 11kV KDM, then in this study submitted an alternative to provide power supply to the switchgear Kaltim-1A which consists of a 16-SG-101 belonging POPKA and HSG-1 belongs to the former KPA by using excess power from the Steam Turbine Generator STG-2. Currently, the total normal load operation of the Kaltim-1A amounted to 15.1 MW with 11.1 MW for switchgear 16-SG-101 belonging POPKA and 4 MW for switchgear HSG-1 belongs to the ex-KPA.
With the availability of alternative power in the factory-1A by STG-2, then the continuity of the power supply can be maintained as the support of the operational reliability of the production process and Kaltim-1A.
