Abstract

Kompresor merupakan suatu alat yang memiliki fungsi untuk mengalirkan dan menambah energi (tekanan) pada fluida kerjanya yang dalam hal ini adalah fluida yang kompresibel. Pada instalasi sistem udara tekan yang digunakan di Workshop D3 Teknik Mesin ITS, kompresor termasuk komponen yang sangat penting. Kompresor dibutuhkan untuk mensuplai udara bertekanan ke setiap tempat yang ada pada instalasi sistem udara tekan.
Kebutuhan udara bertekanan di workshop D3 Teknik Mesin ITS dipenuhi oleh kompresor jenis reciprocating. Mengingat pentingnya peningkatan kualitas pada sistem udara bertekanan ini maka perlu dilakukan perhitungan ulang dan pemilihan kompresor pada instalasi sistem udara bertekanan di Workshop D3 Teknik Mesin ITS.
Dari hasil perhitungan didapatkan kapasitas udara yang dibutuhkan sebesar 46,562 m3/h, laju aliran massa sebesar 2,5x10-2 kg/s. Untuk pemilihan kompresor adalah jenis multistage reciprocating.

Requirement of compressed air at D3 Mechanical Engineering ITS workshop served by reciprocating compressors. Given the importance of improving the quality of the compressed air system, it is necessary to do the recalculation and selection of compressors in the installation of compressed air systems in D3 Mechanical Engineering ITS Workshop.
From the result of calculation, the capacity of compressor air generated by 46,562 m3/h, mass flow rate is 2,5x10-2 kg/s. For selecting the type of compressor is multistage reciprocating compressor.
