Abstract

Heat exchanger merupakan suatu alat mekanik yang digunakan dalam proses perpindahan panas dua atau lebih fluida yang memiliki temperatur yang berbeda. Namun, dengan adanya fouling pada heat exchanger membuat perpindahan panas yang terjadi akan mengalami hambatan. Pembentukan lapisan deposite akan terus berkembang selama heat exchanger dioperasikan. Akumulasi deposite pada permukaan heat exchanger menimbulkan berkurangnya luas permukaan, sehingga mampu menaikkan pressure drop dan menurunkan efisiensi perpindahan panas. Oleh sebab itu dibutuhkan suatu model untuk mengetahui fenomena serta karakteristik dari fouling. Dengan konsep Kern dan Seaton mendefinisikan bahwa laju aliran fouling berdasarkan pada perbedaan antara massa fouling saat deposite dengan saat removal. Hal ini yang kemudian dijadikan acuan dalam menurunkan persamaan Polley. Setelah mendapatkan model dilakukan validasi untuk mendapatkan nilai terbaik. Dimana dalam menghitung error menggunakan RMSE. Nilai error yang di hasilkan pada pemodelan heat exchanger adalah sebagai berikut HE1102 error yang di hasilkan sebesar 0.020, HE1103 error yang di hasilkan 0.028, HE1104 error yang di hasilkan 0.027 ======================================================================================================== Heat exchangers are a mechanical device used in the heat transfer process of two or more fluids having different temperatures. However, with the fouling on the heat exchanger makes the heat transfer that occurs will experience obstacles. The formation of the deposite layer will continue to grow as long as the heat exchanger is operated. The accumulation of deposite on the surface of the heat exchanger results in reduced surface area, thus increasing the pressure drop and decreasing heat transfer efficiency. Therefore we need a model to know the phenomenon and characteristics of fouling. With the concept of Kern and Seaton defining that the fouling flow rate is based on the difference between the fouling mass at the time of the deposite with the time of removal. This is then used as a reference in lowering the Polley equation. After getting the model done validation to get the best value. Where to calculate error using RMSE. The error value generated in heat exchanger modeling is as follows HE1102 error which resulted in 0.020, HE1103 error generated 0.028, HE1104 error generated 0.027
