Abstract
Pada PT. Petrokimia Gresik, pabrik 3 merupakan pabrik yang banyak menggunakan fluida yang bersifat asam sebagai bahan baku produksinya, salah satu diantaranya adalah fluida asam fosfat. Pompa asam fosfat P-2543 sangat berperan penting untuk memindakan fluida asam fosfat dari cooling tank menuju clarifier.
Pada tugas akhir ini bertujuan melakukan pemilihan ulang pompa yang sesuai dengan instalasi pompa asam fosfat P-2543. Selain itu, kecepatan aliran di dalam pipa harus sesuai dengan range kecepatan aliran yang diijinkan berdasarkan fluida kerjanya. Oleh karena itu, perhitungan kapasitas, daya, efisiensi, dan head efektif instalasi dilakukan secara manual dan dibandingkan dengan numerik menggunakan software pipe flow expert .
Pada perhitungan ulang didapatkan kecepatan aliran yang belum sesuai dengan kecepatan yang diijinkan sehingga diperlukan perubahan diameter pipa. Kapasitas pompa didapat sebesar 40 m3/h dengan Heff sebesar 14,76 m dan NPSHA sebesar 3,13m serta didapatkan daya pompa sebesar 4,12 KW. Dengan kebutuhan tersebut, maka dipilih pompa sentrifugal sigle stage Wuhuan Pump size&model LCF65&3501.

At PT. Petrokimia Gresik, plant 3 phosphoric acid section is a plant that used many acid fluid as materials for its production, one of them is phosporic acid fluid. Phosporic acid P-2543 pump have an important role for transfer the phosporic acid fluid from the cooling tank to clafier.
This final project purposes to reselection pump that is appropriate with the installation of phosphoric acid pump P-2543. Meanwhile , the velocity in the pipe must be appropriate with the velocity that is allowed according to the fluid. Therefore, the capacity, power, efficiency, and head effective installation calculate manually and with pipe flow expert application.
According to the recalculation, the velocity isnot allowed,so there is need to change the pipe diameter. In conclusion, based on the results the pump capacity = 40 m3/h, Heff = 14,76m, NPSHA = 3,13m, and the pump power = 4,12 KW. Tthe best choice is the centrifugal single stage Wuhuan Pump size&model LCF65&3501.
