Abstract

Hammer crusher merupakan komponen penunjang penghancur raw material berupa limestone pada PT. Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Hammer crusher sering mengalami keausan yang sangat cepat dan tidak sesuai dengan umur pakainya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari solusi dengan menganalisis pengaruh media pendingin pada proses hardening dan tempering terhadap sifat mekanik dan struktur mikro SS 410. Spesimen uji dipanaskan pada temperatur 950°C dengan waktu holding 60 menit, dilanjutkan tempering pada temperatur 250°C dengan waktu holding 60 menit. Berdasarkan proses perlakuan yang telah dilakukan, didapatkan bahwa pada proses hardening, kekerasan tertinggi diperoleh pada spesimen SS 410 H-WQ yaitu 484 HV, dan terdiri dari fasa lath martensite, dan retained austenite, sehingga menghasilkan nilai keausan yang cukup rendah, yaitu 25,66 mm/jam. Pada perlakuan hardening dan tempering, spesimen SS 410 HT-WQ memiliki nilai kekerasan tertinggi yaitu 490 HV dan terdiri dari fasa lath martensite, retained austenite, dan presipitasi karbida M23C6, sehingga menghasilkan keausan yang rendah, yaitu 21 mm/jam.
