Abstract

Kabupaten Trenggalek terletak di Provinsi Jawa Timur dan mempunyai lebih dari 26 wisata alam yang khas. Adapun pariwisata unggulan seperti Pantai Prigi, Pantai Karanggongso, dan Gua Lowo. Potensi lain di Kabupaten Trenggalek, yaitu kekayaan budaya lokal seperti Upacara Nyadran, Tarian Turonggo Yakso, dan Upacara Larung Sembonyo. Namun periwisata di Kabupaten Trenggalek belum dioptimalisasikan. Selain itu Kabupaten Trenggalek belum memiliki image dan reputasi yang baik dibandingkan dengan kota lain, sehingga diperlukan perancangan elemen city branding. Proses perancangan elemen city branding ini dimulai dengan identifikasi karakteristik Kabupaten Trenggalek melalui in depth interview kepada tokoh masyarakat yang memiliki wawasan mengenai Kabupaten Trenggalek. Tahap selanjutnya yaitu penetapan konsep desain dengan menggunakan dua metode. Pertama, dari karakteristik utama Kabupaten Trenggalek dan gaya hidup masyarakat Indonesia saat ini, yaitu fun, modern, simple, dan up to date. Perancangan elemen city branding seperti dirancang logo, slogan, maskot, poster, brosur, peta lokasi wisata, street banner, papan reklame, promotional video city branding, photobooth, suvenir (mug, kaos, gantungan kunci, tas), packaging oleh-oleh, branding tempat-tempat umum, dan x-banner pariwisata. Kemudian desain elemen city branding dikonfirmasi dan validasi kepada keyplayer Kabupaten Trenggalek melalui FGD menghasilkan perbaikan elemen, yaitu perbaikan desain poster dan brosur untuk melengkapi konten sesuai dengan destinasi wisata yang terkenal di Kabupaten Trenggalek, serta packaging oleh-oleh ditambahkan packaging oleh-oleh lainnya. Dengan menerapkan city branding, Kabupaten Trenggalek dapat dikenal luas oleh masyarakat dan mampu mendatangkan wisatawan baik lokal maupun manca negara, sehingga dapat meningkatkan Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD) Kabupaten Trenggalek.

District of Trenggalek located at East Java Province and it has more than 26 unique natural tourism. The famous tourism such as Prigi Beach, Karanggongso Beach, and Lowo Cave. Another potential which located in district of Trenggalek is the richness of its local culture such as Nyadran ceremony, Turonggo Yakso dance, and Larung Sembonyo ceremony. Unfortunately, tourisms in district of Trenggalek are not optimized. Besides, district of Trenggalek has not proper image and reputation compare to another city. Therefore, designing element of city branding is needed. The process of designing the city branding elements begins with the identification of Trenggalek characteristics through indepth interview to public figure who have insights information about Trenggalek. The next step is determination of design concept based on two stages. First, using the main characteristics of Trenggalek and Indonesian people lifestyle now days, such as fun, modern, simple, and up to date. The design elements of city branding that designed is logo, mascot, tagline, poster, brochure, map of tourist site, street banners, Billboard, promotional video city branding, photobooth, souvenirs (mug, t-shirts, key chains, bags), packaging, branding, public places, and the x-banner design element. Then a tourism city branding that already designed need to be confirmed and validation to Trenggalek keyplayer through FGD that the result to improvement elements, i.e. repair design, posters and brochures to complement the content in accordance with the well-known tourist destinations in Trenggalek , packaging traditional food and added other food packaging. By implementing a city branding, Trenggalek can be widely known by the public and was able to bring in tourists both local and international, so that can increase the Income of Trenggalek area.
