Abstract

A Glucose concentration sensor has been developed with macrobending principle on multimode step-index optical fiber with variation of peel length 2 cm, 3 cm, and 4 cm. Each peel long curved with curvature diameter of 2cm, 3 cm, dan 4 cm. The tested glucose solution had a concentration of 0% (aquades), 5%, 10%, 15% and 25%. A BF5R-D1-N is used as light source and detector which has been calibrated by using Optical Power Meter. The results of experiment show that correlation between optical power output with curvature diameter, and also peeling area of optical fiber.
