Abstract

Teknologi pertanian selalu mengalami perkembangan. Salah satu wujud perkembangan terbaru teknologi yang digunakan dalam pertanian adalah vertical farming. Vertical farming telah dilakukan di negara-negara maju seperti Amerika Serikat, Kanada, Jepang, Korea dan China dengan sebutan Plant Factory with Artificial Lighting (PFAL) atau Indoor Vertical Farms. Agar masyarakat Indonesia sadar, tahu dan mengerti akan perkembangan teknologi pertanian tersebut maka diperlukan adanya objek arsitektur yang menyediakan dan mendidik masyarakat mengenai perkembangan teknologi pertanian, dalam hal ini berupa vertical farming. Produksi dan edukasi akan dilakukan dengan dua cara, yaitu dengan PFAL dan Agro-Edu-Tourism. Permasalahan desain yang diangkat adalah bagaimana secara arsitektur mengharmonisasi antara fasilitas PFAL dengan Agro-Edu-Tourism, bangunan tinggi dengan lanskap, vertical farming dengan eksisting pasar bunga, dengan tetap memperhatikan efisiensi penggunaan lahan. Metode desain yang digunakan dalam merancang vertical farming adalah metode tipologi. Jacques Nicolas – Louis Durand berpendapat bahwa teori tipologi melihat arsitektur sebagai seni menyusun elemen-elemen yang telah ditentukan (Jormakka, 2003). Dalam desain ini elemen-elemen yang telah ditentukan adalah kebutuhan sistem dan ruang untuk vertical farming. Kebutuhan sistem dan ruang ditentukan dari tipologi vertical farming dan preseden vertical farming yang telah dibangun.

Agricultural technology is always improving. One of the latest technological developments used in agriculture is vertical farming. Vertical farming has been conducted in developed countries such as the United States, Canada, Japan, Korea and China as Plant Factory with Artificial Lighting (PFAL) or Indoor Vertical Farms. In order for the people of Indonesia to aware, know and understand the development of agricultural technology, it is necessary to have an architectural facility that provides and educate the development of agricultural technology, in this case in the form of vertical farming. Production and education will be conducted in two ways, namely PFAL and Agro-Edu-Tourism. Design issues raised are how to architecturally harmonize between PFAL facilities with Agro-Edu-Tourism, high-rise buildings with landscape, vertical farming with existing flower market, while still paying attention to the efficiency of land use. The design method used in designing vertical farming is typology method. Jacques Nicola s - Louis Durand argues that typology theory sees architecture as the art of composing predetermined elements (Jormakka, 2003). In this design the elements that have been determined are the system and space requirements for vertical farming. System and space requirements are determined from the vertical farming typology and vertical farming precedents that have been built.
