Abstract

Penggunaan aplikasi komputer pada perhitungan kekuatan suatu struktur dengan bentuk yang komplek akan sangat membantu. Berikut adalah program aplikasi yang mengetrapkan metode elemen hingga untuk elemen frame 3 dimensi, program aplikasi ini disusun dengan kompiler Borland Delphi 5.0 dengan persyaratan minimum hardware yang disarankan adalah processor Pentium II 400 z dan ram 32 Mb.
Rancangan struktur bangunan laut tipe jacket akan sangat cocok untuk diaplikasikan pada program ini. Program aplikasi sekaligus juga dapat meng- ng beban-beban lingkungan seperti beban gelombang, beban arus dan beban n. Dan selanjutnya akan dilakukan pemeriksaan yang antara lain adalah periksaan tegangan cylindrical member, perhitungan buckling, hoopstress at tekanan hidrostatik, dan punching shear berdasarkan persyaratan dari API 2A) - Recommended Practice for Planning, Designing and Constructing d Offshore Platforms, 1993.
