Abstract

Pemanfaatan ampas singkong sebagai adsorben untuk
Remazol Brilliant Blue R (RBBR) telah dilakukan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode batch pada variasi pH, waktu kontak dan konsentrasi adsorbat. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah
dilakukan, didapatkan bahwa ampas singkong dapat digunakan
sebagai adsorben untuk adsorpsi zat warna Remazol Brilliant Blue R (RBBR) dengan kapasitas maksimalnya sebesar 97,884 mg/g pada konsentrasi 5000 mg/L dan persentase adsorpsi maksimal sebesar 87,413 % pada pH 2 dan waktu kontak 45 menit.
Sementara Adsorben ampas singkong untuk adsorpsi Remazol
Brilliant Blue R (RBBR) mengikuti model kinetika adsorpsi orde dua semu dengan konstanta laju reaksinya sebesar 3,993
g/mg.menit dan isotermal Freundlich dengan nilai regresi 0,9847, KF sebesar 2,619 L/mg dan nilai n sebesar 1,506. Sehingga adsorpsi Remazol Brilliant Blue R (RBBR) menggunakan adsorben dari ampas singkong terjadi secara fisisorpsi.

Utilization of cassava dregs as adsorbent for the
adsorption of Remazol Brilliant Blue R (RBBR) has been
investigated. This research using batch method at various pH,
contact time, concentration of adsorbate. Based on this research,
cassava dregs can be used as adsorbent for the adsorption of
Remazol Brilliant Blue R (RBBR) with maximum capacity of
97,884 mg/g at concentration of 5000 mg/L and percentage of
adsorption of 87,413 at pH 2 and the contatact time of 45 minutes
respectively. Cassava dregs adsorbent for the adsorption of
Remazol Brilliant Blue R (RBBR) follow pseudo-second-order
adsorption kinetics model with rate constant of 3,993
g/mg.minutes and model Freundlich adsorption isotherm
regression, KF and n value were 0,9847 ; 2,619 L/mg and 1,506
respectively. So the adsorption of Remazol Brilliant Blue R
(RBBR) by adsorbent cassava dregs was physisorption.
