Abstract

Al2O3 nanopartikel (Al2O3 NPs) telah disintesis melalui metode elektrokimia. Sintesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan sel elektrolisis. Digunakan larutan natrium sitrat sebagai elektrolit dan logam aluminium sebagai anoda dan katoda. Pada sintesis ini dilakukan studi pengaruh potensial (5-50 V), konsentrasi elektrolit (0,02-0,42 M) dan waktu elektrolisis (15-75 menit) terhadap pembentukan Al2O3 NPs. Kondisi optimum diperoleh pada potensial 40 V, konsentrasi elektrolit 0,18 M dan waktu elektrolisis 45 menit dengan puncak absorbansi pada 234 nm. Difraktogram XRD menujukkan bahwa produk Al2O3 NPs yang diperoleh sesuai dengan standar JCPDS 046-1131 untuk δ-Al2O3 dan JCPDS 023-1009 untuk -Al2O3. Hasil analisa TEM-EDX menunjukkan bahwa Al2O3 NPs yang diperoleh memiliki ukuran partikel 36-63 nm dengan komposisi Al sebesar 7,08 % dan komposisi O sebesar 82,65%. Dari hasil analisa XRD, EDX dan TGA-DTA ditemukan adanya natrium sitrat sebagai zat pengotor. Panjang gelombang maksimum hasil pengukuran UV-Vis diuji menggunakan ANOVA dan LSD. Distribusi ukuran partikel dianalisis menggunakan zetasizer. =================================================================================================== Al2O3 nanoparticles (Al2O3 NPs) have been synthesized using electrochemical method. The synthesis was conducted by electrolysis. Sodium citrate solution was used as an electrolyte and aluminium metal plat were used as both anode and cathode. The formation of Al2O3 NPs was invistigated on the variation of potential (5-50 V), electrolyte concentration (0,02-0,42 M) and electrolysis time (15-75 minutes). Optimum condition was reached at potential of 40 V in 0,18 sodium citrate solution during 45 minutes electrolysis process. Absorbance band peak was found at maximum wavelength of 234 nm. XRD diffractogram indicated that the obtained product has similar pattern with Al2O3 according to standart of JCPDS 046-1131 for δ-Al2O3 and JCPDS 023-1009 for -Al2O3. The TEM-EDX result shows that the size of Al2O3 NPs were around 36-63 nm with Al composition of 7,08 % and O composition of 82,65%. XRD, EDX and TGA-DTA analysis results identify the presence of sodium citrate as an impurity. Maximum wavelength from UV-Vis measurement results were tested using ANOVA and LSD. The size distribution was measured using zetasizer.
