Abstract

response surface desirability function. Hasil setting parameter
oleh Setyawan (2008) tidak mempertimbangkan korelasi antar
respon.
terpenuhinya batas spesifikasi. Berdasarkan analisis, diperoleh
setting parameter untuk temperatur die sebesar 179,1oC, blowing
time sebesar 5,602 detik, dan blowing pressure sebesar 4,844
bar. Hasil nilai prediksi respon bore diameter sebesar 29,05801
mm, netto sebesar 15,346 gram, ketebalan dinding s1 sebesar
0,8852 mm, ketebalan dinding s2 sebesar 0,8549 mm, ketebalan
dinding s3 sebesar 0,3375 mm, ketebalan dinding s4 sebesar
0,5257 mm, dan ketebalan dinding s6 sebesar 0,7962 mm.

============================================================================================================

PT.AM Surabaya is one of company that is focused in
plastic packaging. One of company’s product is a plastic bottle of
200 ml. Setyawan (2008) have examined the bottle of 200 ml to
determine parameter settings of die temperature, blowing time,
and blowing pressure using response surface method desirability
function. The results of parameter settings by Setyawan (2008)
did not consider the correlation between the response. Therefore,
this study will be conducted to determine the parameter settings
of 200 ml bottles using Principal Component Analysis and
desirability function because this method uses normalized data
and considers the correlation between the response, the effects of
location, dispersion and interaction, as well as the fulfillment of
the specification limits. Based on the analysis, parameters setting
for die temperature is 179,1oC, blowing time is 5,602 seconds,
and blowing pressure is 4,844 bar. The results of the response
prediction value of bore diameter is 29,05801 mm, net is 15,346
grams, the wall thickness of s1 is 0,8852 mm, wall thickness of s2
is 0,8549 mm, wall thickness of s3 is 0,3375 mm, wall thickness of
s4 is 0,5257 mm, and wall thickness of s6 is 0,7962 mm.
