Abstract

============= Nearly half of internet users in Indonesia are social media activists, with 85% of them accessing social media via mobile devices. Social media will give a big influence on society in various aspect, especially the political aspect. Increasingly, the development of social media for political activities and facilities opens opportunities for access to information obtained, especially public opinion on political objects. One method that can be used to determine the level of public assessment of political objects is the analysis of sentiment. The classification of social media sentiment with varying levels of language diversity is done using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) method. Previous research experimented on text classification tasks using CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) and achieved excellent results. The text used as a CNN model training input is converted to a word vector representation using word2vec and fasttext as a comparison. The sentence classification task consists of 3 subtasks with a different number of classes used. Based on the results of the training experiments conducted, the best accuracy obtained in subtask A 0.833, subtask B 0.709, and subtask C 0.658. Then the text classification performance by the CNN model is superior to the SVM, and the Naive Bayes on each subtask.
