Abstract

Turbin pada proses pembangkit listrik ini sangat penting, karena merupakan alat yang mengubah energi gerak menjadi energi listrik. Salah satu bagian turbin adalah anti rotation dimana berperan sebagai penahan ring segment agar tidak terlepas dari rel. Ring segment sendiri letaknya sangat dekat dengan turbin sehingga ada kemungkinan untuk bergesekan dengan turbin. Kegagalan yang terjadi terdapat di komponen ring segment, seal strips, dan anti rotation. Dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kegagalan yang terjadi pada anti rotation piece SS205, ring segment DZ40M dan desainnya. Dari hasil pengamatan mikrostruktur, material anti rotation termasuk baja tahan karat austenitik. Hasil dari pengamatan SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) dapat dilihat bahwa terdapat retakan pada material anti rotation yang merupakan awal mula terjadinya kegagalan. Pada pengujian XRD, material anti rotation didapatkan beberapa deposit-deposit antara lain yaitu Fe2 , FeS , CoNi2O4 dan Fe3O4. Pada pengujian XRD ini menggunakan aplikasi HighScore Plus untuk mendapatkan data dari deposit-deposit tersebut.

Turbine in electrical generator process is very important because it is a tool that converts the energy of motion into electrical energy. One part of the gas turbine is anti rotation which acts as a ring segment holder so as not to be separated from the rail. Ring segment itself is very close to the turbine so there is a possibility to rub against the turbine. Failures that occur in the ring segment components, seal strips, and anti rotation. In this research is to analyze the failure that happened on anti rotation piece SS205, ring segment DZ40M and its design. From observation of microstructure, anti rotation material including austenitic stainless steel. The result of SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) observation can be seen that there are cracks in anti rotation material which is the beginning of failure. In XRD testing, anti rotation material obtained some deposits such as Fe2, FeS, CoNi2O4 and Fe3O4. In this XRD test using HighScore Plus application to get data from the deposits.
