Abstract

Underground pipeline merupakan salah satu moda transportasi crude oil yang sering digunakan di daratan karena bersifat ekonomis dan aman dari aktivitas daratan. Dalam kondisi operasi, underground pipeline mengalami pergerakan ke segala arah yang akan ditahan oleh berat pipa, berat fluida yang terkandung, dan berat timbunan tanah diatasnya (gaya friksi tanah). Kenaikan temperature operasi dan imperfection height tanah menjadi penyebab utama terjadinya overstress serta gaya friksi tanah akan mengalami degradasi nilai yang tidak mampu lagi menahan gaya aksial ke atas pipa. Deformasi global pada pipa akan berpotensi memicu terjadinya kegagalan pipa dalam bentuk upheaval buckling. Salah satu kasus upheaval buckling yang pernah terjadi adalah upheaval buckling pada pipeline milik PT. JOB Pertamina Petrochina East Java. Untuk menanggulangi terjadinya kejadian serupa, pihak PT. JOB PPEJ melakukan mitigasi dengan pemasangan 3 support dan memberikan downforce berupa blok tanah pedel seberat 2 ton. Pada tugas akhir ini, akan dilakukan analisa efektifitas pemasangan support dan penambahan downforceI yang mengacu pada analisa teknis tegangan pemodelan dengan AUTOPIPE dan ANSYS 15.0 (Static Structural) untuk mencari nilai stress dan strain pada area buckling. Dari studi kasus di penelitian ini, didapatkan bahwa mitigasi yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan masih mengalami overstress di beberpa titik buckling dengan nilai maksimal 277,93 MPa dan regangan 0,0097, serta pada hasil variasi jumlah support dan berat downforce didapatkan penambahan fixed support berpengaruh untuk menurunkan tegangan sedangan beban kebalikannya sehingga 5 fixed support dan 1 ton downforce lebih efektif berdasarkan hasil analis tegangan dan regangan. ============================================================================================================================================================================ Underground pipeline is one of the most commonly used modes of crude oil transportation in the mainland because it is economical and safe from mainland activities. Under the operating conditions, the underground pipeline moves in all directions to be retained by the weight of the pipe, the weight of the contained fluid, and the weight of the soil above it (the friction force of the soil). The effects of temperature rise and soil imperfection height become the main cause of occurance the overstress on the pipe and the value of the soil friction force will be graded so that it can no longer resist the upward axial force on the pipe. Global deformation of pipes will potentially lead to pipeline failure in the form of upheaval buckling. One case of upheaval buckling that ever happened was upheaval buckling on the pipeline owned by PT. JOB Pertamina Petrochina East Java. To prevent the occurrence of similar incidents, PT. JOB PPEJ mitigates by installated 3 fixed support and added 2 tons downforce of pedel blocks. In this final project will be analyzed the effectivity of installation fixed support and addition of downforce which refer to stress technical analysis, software that will be used are AUTOPIPE and ANSYS 15.0 (Static Structural) to find stress and strain value in buckling area. Based on the computations, it was found that the mitigation done by the company still occurs overstress in some buckling point (node) with a maximum value of 277.93 MPa and strain 0.0097, as well as on the result of variations in the number of fixed support and weight of downforce obtained the addition of fixed support effect to decrease stress meanwhile the addition of downforce is the opposite. it is observed 5 fixed support and 1 ton of downforce is more effective based on the results of stress and strain analysts.
