Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan data kesetimbangan
uap-cair sistem biner etanol (1) + gliserol (2) pada tekanan
atmosfer. Peralatan yang digunakan adalah Othmer Still. Data
kesetimbangan yang diperoleh dikorelasikan dengan model
persamaan Wilson, NRTL, dan UNIQUAC. Hasil korelasi dengan
model Wilson menghasilkan AAD T dan y masing-masing sebesar
1,715 dan 1,066%. Hasil korelasi dengan model NRTL
menghasilkan AAD T dan y sebesar 1,672 dan 1,066%. Sedangkan
hasil korelasi dengan model UNIQUAC menghasilkan AAD T dan
y masing-masing sebesar 3,071 dan 1,035%. Dari ketiga
permodelan tersebut, NRTL menghasilkan nilai AAD T dan y
paling kecil sehingga memiliki keakuratan yang paling baik pada
penelitian ini.======================================================================The objective of this research was to measure vapor-liquid
equilibrium (VLE) data for binary system ethanol (1) + glycerol
(2) at atmospheric pressure. The experimental apparatus used in
this experiment was Othmer Still. The experimental data were
correlated using Wilson, NRTL, and UNIQUAC equations. The
results of correlation with Wilson model generate AAD T and y
1,715 and 1,066% respectively The results of correlation with
NRTL model generate AAD T and y 1,672 and 1,066%
respectively. The results of correlation with UNIQUAC model
generate AAD T and y 3,071 and 1,035% respectively. From those
models, NRTL has the best accuracy for this research.
