Abstract

Membran datar Co3O4/BaxSr1-xCo0,8Fe0,2O3-δ (0,5 ≤ x ≤ 0,7) telah berhasil disiapkan dengan bahan perekat amilum melalui dua metode pelapisan yang berbeda yakni, metode pre-sintering dan post-sintering. Pengamatan SEM pada permukaan dan penampang lintang membran datar Co3O4/BaxSr1-xCo0,8Fe0,2O3-δ dilakukan untuk penentuan metode pelapisan yang lebih efektif dalam pelapisan Co3O4 pada permukaan membran datar BSCF. Metode post-sintering menunjukan hasil yang lebih baik dibandingkan metode pre-sintering dimana pada metode post-sintering terdapat lapisan Co3O4 pada permukaan membran meskipun sebarannya tidak merata. Hasil ini didukung oleh analisis sebaran unsur dengan SEM-EDX dimana terdapat peningkatan intensitas unsur Co di permukaan membran datar BSCF yang menunjukan lapisan Co3O4 pada metode post-sintering. Uji permeasi oksigen menunjukan membran datar Co3O4/BSCF 5582 memiliki fluks permeasi oksigen yang lebih tinggi daripada membran datar BSCF 5582 tanpa lapisan Co3O4 pada suhu uji 600, 700 dan 800 °C. Hasil yang sama juga terjadi pada variasi laju alir helium, dimana pada laju alir helium 20, 30 dan 40 mL.menit-1, fluks permeasi oksigen membran datar Co3O4/BSCF 5582 juga lebih tinggi daripada membran datar BSCF 5582 tanpa lapisan Co3O4.=============================================================================================== Co3O4/BaxSr1-xCo0.8Fe0.2O3-δ (0.5 ≤ x ≤0.7) flat membranes was succeed prepared using amylum as a binder with two different coating method namely pre-sintering and post-sintering method. SEM was used to observe surface and cross section morphology of the flat membrane Co3O4/BaxSr1-xCo0.8Fe0.2O3-δ (0.5 ≤ x ≤0.7) to determine the most effective method of coating Co3O4 on the surface of BSCF membranes. Post-sintering method show a better result than pre-sintering method. The SEM results show that Co3O4 was coated on BSCF membrane that was prepared using post-sintering method with uneven distribution. SEM-EDX analysis to study the distribution of elements show the increase of the cobalt concentration on the Co3O4/BaxSr1-xCo0.8Fe0.2O3-δ (0.5 ≤ x ≤0.7) flat membranes that was prepared by post-sintering method. The oxygen permeation test showed that Co3O4/BSCF 5582 flat membrane has a higher oxygen flux than unmodified BSCF 5582 membrane at 600, 700 and 800 °C. The oxygen permeation test with helium flow rate variation was showed same result. Co3O4/BSCF 5582 flat membrane also had higher oxygen flux than unmodified BSCF membrane at 20, 30, and 40 mL.min-1
