Abstract

Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET) merupakan jaringan wireless yang memiliki node bergerak. Adanya pergerakan yang random dari setiap node menyebabkan perubahan topologi pada jaringan MANET secara dynamic. Hal ini juga menyebabkan perubahan yang dynamic pada konektivitas antar node yang saling bertukar data. Oleh karena itu diperlukan routing protokol yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan jaringan untuk dapat memberikan jalur routing secara optimal. Ada berbagai macam penerapan routing protocol pada MANET, salah satunya Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector atau AODV. AODV yang termasuk kategori reactive routing protocol hanya menyimpan informasi routing seputar path dan host yang aktif. Didalam AODV ketika node asal ingin mengirim packet ke tujuan namun tidak ada route yang tersedia, maka node tersebut akan memulai proses route discovery. Implementasi pada lingkungan MANET dilakukan menggunakan simulasi yang menggunakan aplikasi Network Simulator 2 (NS-2). Penelitian ini akan dilakukan analisis kinerja dari model propagasi TwoRayGround pada protokol routing AODV di lingkungan MANET berdasarkan Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), End-to-End Delay serta Routing Overhead (RO). ========================== Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) is a wireless network that has moving nodes. A random node movement makes a change in topology on MANET dynamic. This makes a dynamic change in connectivity between nodes that transfer data. We need a routing protocol that able to fulfill network needs to give an optimal routing process. There are many implementations of routing protocol on MANET, such as Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector (AODV). AODV is a reactive routing protocol only save a routing information around an active path and host. In AODV, when a source node sent a packet to destination but there’s no available route, it will make a route discovery process. Implementation on MANET done by using an application named Network Simulator-2. This analysis will analyse a perfomance of propagation TwoRayGround on AODV routing on MANET based on Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), End-to-End Delay and Routing Overhead (RO).
