Abstract

Combo plate merupakan produk dari perkembangan teknologi dalam bidang konstruksi. aerospace. Keuntungan jenis pelat tersebut adalah mampu menghemat biaya dan mempercepat waktu produksi . Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbandingan kekuatan combo plate dengan pelat berpenagar konvensional meliputi continous weld, chain weld dan staggered weld bila digunakan dalam konstruksi kapal. Perbandingan dilakukan dengan membandingkan nilai tegangan dari 3 variasi beban (lateral, bending dan puntir) dan 3 variasi besar beban. Adapun model yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ada 4 yaitu combo plate, continuous weld, chain weld dan staggered weld. Pada variasi pelat berpenegar konvensional dilakukan perbandingan tegangan sisa menggunakan metode elemen hingga. Hasil akhir yang didapat adalah combo plate memiliki tegangan paling kecil pada beban lateral yaitu saat beban 1000 N/m2 tegangan terbesar bernilai 66.03 MPa, beban lateral 2000 N/m2 menghasilkan nilai tegangan terbesar 132.07 MPa dan pada beban 3500 N/m2 menghasilkan tegangan terbesar 231.13 MPa sementara pada momen bending dan puntir memiliki tegangan paling besar dibanding pelat berpenegar konvensional. Untuk nilai tegangan sisa paling besar adalah continous weld sebesar 90.05 Mpa. ================================================================================================== Combo plate is a product of technological developments in the field of construction. aerospace. The advantage of this type of plate is to save costs and speed up production time. The purpose of this research is to know the ratio of combo plate strength with conventional stiffened plate (continous weld, chain weld and staggered weld) when used in ship construction. Comparison is done by comparing the stress values of 3 variations of load (lateral, bending and torsion) and 3 large variations of load. The model used in this study there are 4 (combo plate, continuous weld, chain weld and staggered weld). In the conventional plates variation is done comparison of residual stress using finite element method. The final result is the combo plate has the smallest stress at the lateral load that is when the load of 1000 N / m2 the highest stress is worth 66.03 MPa, at the load 2000 N / m2 produces the highest stress value 132.07 MPa and at 3500 N / m2 produces the highest stress 231.13 MPa while at the moment of bending and torsion has the greatest stress. For the highest residual stress is continous weld with stress value 90.05 MPa.
