Abstract

Gedung Pascasarjana Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), Jawa Timur merupakan gedung beton bertulang 10 lantai yang dirancang menggunakan teknologi Base Isolator sebagai peredam gempa. Penggunaan teknologi base isolator sangat cocok digunakan pada daerah gempa tinggi, dan dapat mereduksi beban gempa yang terjadi dengan cara memperpanjang periode sehingga kerusakan terhadap bangunan dapat diminimalisir.
Gedung didesain dengan menggunakan High Damping Rubber Bearing (HDRB). Perancangan dimulai dengan Preliminary desain elemen Fixed Based Structure dan dianalisa dengan pembebanan gempa Respon spektrum menggunakan SAP 2000 v.14.2.2 Hasil analisis Fixed Base Structure digunakan sebagai parameter menentukan dimensi HDRB dan selanjutnya struktur dianalisis kembali dengan model Isolated Structure.
Harapan dari tugas akhir ini adalah didapatkan dimensi struktur pada bangunan gedung pascasarjana UMM yang lebih efisien dan tahan terhadap gempa

Graduate Building University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), East Java is a 10-storey reinforced concrete building designed using Base Isolator technology as an earthquake damper. The use of base isolator technology is very suitable for high seismic area, and can reduce the earthquake load by extending the period so that damage to the building can be minimized.
The building is designed using High Damping Rubber Bearing (HDRB). The design starts with Preliminary design of Fixed Based Structure element and analyzed with earthquake load Response spectrum using SAP 2000 v.14.2.2 Fixed Base Structure analysis result is used as parameter to determine HDRB dimension and then structure is analyzed again with Isolated Structure model.
The hope of this final project is to find the structural dimension of UMM postgraduate building which is more efficient and resistant to earthquake
