Abstract

Energi merupakan suatu unsur yang sangat penting bagi kehidupan manusia. Sejak revolusi industri, bahan bakar fosil selalu menjadi sumber daya utama untuk energi. Di sisi lain, terdapat energi terbarukan yang tidak akan habis bila digunakan secara berkelanjutan jika dikelola dengan baik . Selain dapat dipulihkan kembali, energi ini juga ramah lingkungan, aman dan terjangkau oleh masyarakat. Maka dari itu sekarang banyak berlomba - lomba menciptakan bahan bakar yang terbarukan dan ramah lingkungan, salah satunya yang dikembangkan dan cocok digunakan di Indonesia adalah pembangkit listrik tenaga arus air laut dikarenakan sebagia n besar Indonesia terdiri dari lautan. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan proses pemodelan dan simulasi sebuah kompresor linear berdasarkan sistem pneumatik yang ada pada pembangkit listrik tenaga arus air laut . Dalam penelitan ini dilakukan 3 model dengan 9 p ercobaan variasi pada kecepatan fluida yang dilalui silinder oscilating sebagai penggerak utama kompresor linear. Yaitu, pada variasi kecepatan 0,5 m/s ; 0,75 m/s; 1,0 m/s. Pada model I b esarnya udara bertekanan berkurang dengan adanya peningkatan kecepata n aliran fluida yang diterima silinder oscilating, pada kecepatan 0,5 m/s simulasi menghasilkan udara bertekanan sebesar 5341.54 Pa; pada kecepatan 0,75 m/s simulasi menghasilkan udara bertekanan sebesar 5091.82 Pa; pada kecepatan 1,0 m/s simulasi menghasilkan udara bertekanan sebesar 4977.39 Pa. ========================================================================================== Energy is a very important element for human life. Since the industrial revolution, fossil fuels have always been a major resource for energy. On the other hand, there is renewable energy that will not run out if used sustainably if managed properly. In addition to recoverable, this energy is also environmentally friendly, safe and affordable by the community. So now many are competing to create renewable and environmentally friendly fuel, one of which is developed and suitable for use in Indonesia is the sea water power plant because most of Indonesia consists of oceans In this research, the process of modeling and simulating a linear compressor based on the existing pneumatic system on the sea water power plant. In this experiment, there are three variation experiments on the fluid velocity through which the oscilating cylinder is the main driver of the linear compressor. That is, at a speed variation of 0.5 m/s; 0.75 m/s; 1.0 m/s. The amount of model I of pressurized air decreases with the increase of fluid flow velocity received by the oscilating cylinder, at a speed of 0.5 m / s simulation resulting in a pressurized air of 5341.54 Pa; at a speed of 0.75 m / s simulation yields pressurized air at 5091.82 Pa; at a speed of 1.0 m / s simulation produced a pressurized air of 4977.39 Pa
