Abstract

Pupuk NPK merupakan produk pupuk yang baru diproduksi oleh PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja yang sangat mengutamakan kualitas agar pupuk NPK PT PUSRI dapat bersaing, sehingga tidak terjadi kerugian secara finansial bagi produsen dan secara penggunaan bagi konsumen. Dalam penelitian ini, akan dilakukan pengendalian kualitas secara statistik pada pupuk NPK melalui peta kendali. Penelitian akan dilakukan pada 3 variabel utama dan terpenting dalam komposisi pupuk NPK, yaitu nitrogen (N), phospat (P) dan kalium (K), dimana variabel penelitian memiliki hubungan satu sama lain dan memiliki pergeseran proses yang kecil. Maka digunakan peta kendali Max-MCUSUM yang lebih sensitif dalam mendeteksi pergeseran proses yang kecil, serta efektif karena memonitor rata-rata dan variabilitas secara simultan dalam satu peta kendali. Setelah dilakukan simulasi, didapatkan batas interval (h) sebesar 29.89. Hasil dari penelitian menggunakan peta kendali Max-MCUSUM pada proses produksi pupuk NPK fase I adalah telah terkendali secara statistik setelah dilakukan identifikasi terhadap penyebab titik yang keluar batas interval dan dilakukan perbaikan. Sedangkan pada fase II, proses produksi pupuk NPK belum terkendali secara statistik Hal ini dikarenakan masih terdapat titik pengamatan yang berada di atas batas interval (h) yang disimbolkan dengan C+. Kemudian, pada perhitungan kapabilitas proses, dapat diketahui bahwa secara multivariat, nilai indeks kapabilitas kinerja proses baik MPp maupun MPpk kurang dari 1. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa proses produksi pupuk NPK pada PT PUSRI belum kapabel karena memiliki tingkat presisi dan akurasi yang rendah

NPK fertilizer is a new fertilizer product by PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja (PUSRI). The quality of NPK fertilizer is a priority to the company, so that NPK fertilizer of PT PUSRI can compete with other fertilizers. It is important so there will be no loss both for producer and consument of NPK fertilizer. In this research, statistical quality control will be performed on NPK fertilizer through control chart. The research will be conducted on three main and most important variables in the composition of NPK fertilizer, those are nitrogen (N), phospat (P), and postassium (K). Those variables are related to each other and have small process shifts, that is why Max-MCUSUM control chart use in this research. It’s because Max-MCUSUM control chart is more sensitive in detecting small process shifts and more effective because it monitors mean and variability simultaneouslyin a single control chart. After the simulation, the result of decision interval (h) in this research is 29.89.Meanwhile, the result of the research using Max-MCUSUM control chart phase I of NPK fertilizer production process was statistically controlled after identification of the cause in out of control observation and performed the improvement by deleting the out of control observation. While in phase II, NPK fertilizer production process has not been statistically controlled. This is because there is still an observation which is above the decision interval (h) symbolized by C+. Then, on the calculation of process capability, it can be know that the process capability, both in Mpp and MPpk is less than 1. So it can be concluded that the perfomance in production process of NPK fertilizer at PT PUSRI is not yet capable because it has a low level of precision and accuracy.
