Abstract
Dalam proses pembangkit listrik tenaga uap tentunya diperlukan air yang dapat digunakan sebagai make-up water yang sesuai agar tidak merusak pipa pipa pada proses pemanasan pada boiler dan alat pemanasan lainnya. Salah satu cara agar mendapatkan air yang sesuai adalah dengan melakukan desalinasi atau pengembunan air laut dengan bantuan panas dari api. Pada proses desalinasi diperlukan proses pembakaran pada heat exchanger. Pada judul tugas akhir ini dibahas mengenai bagaimana mengendalikan temperatur pada heat exchanger yang dijaga temperaturnya tidak lebih dan tidak kurang pada titik 120 derajat Celsius. Komponen penunjang yang digunakan meliputi sensor RTD PT100, actuator berupa ball valve yang digerakkan oleh motor servo, mikrokontroller berupa Atmega8535, dan visual berupa LCD 16x4 untuk temperatur dan bukaan valve. Didapatkan juga nilai maximum overshoot (Mp) sebesar 2.29%, nilai rise time (Tr) sebesar 120 detik, nilai settling time sebesar 120 detik, dan besar error steady state (Ess) sebesar 2.17% dan mode kontrol yang digunakan berupa Propotional sudah cukup. ======================================================================================================== In the process of steam power plants, it is necessary that water be used as a suitable make-up water so as not to damage the pipe pipes in the heating process in the boiler and other heating devices. One way to get the appropriate water is to desalinate or condense the seawater with the help of heat from the fire. In the desalination process required combustion process on heat exchanger. In this final project title discussed about how to control the temperature on heat exchangers that kept temperature not more and not less at point 120 degree Celsius. Supporting components used include RTD PT100 sensor, actuator of ball valve driven by servo motor, microcontroller form Atmega8535, and visual form of LCD 16x4 for temperature and valve opening. Maximum overshoot (Mp) of 2.29%, a rise time value (Tr) of 120 seconds, settling time of 120 seconds, and steady state (Ess) error of 2.17% and control mode used in the form of Propotional is enough.
