Abstract

Telah dilakukan sintesis Barium M-Heksaferit (BaFe12-2xCuxZnxO19) menggunakan bahan dasar BaCO3, bahan alam berupa batu besi sebagai sumber Fe dalam bentuk Hematit (Fe2O3) dan ion dopan Cu2+ dan Zn2+ menggunakan metode solid state dengan suhu kalsinasi 1000oC selama 5 jam. Barium M-Heksagonal (BaFe12O19) merupakan material yang memiliki sifat kemagnetan yang tinggi. Untuk mengurangi sifat kemagnetan bahan tanpa merubah struktur kristalnya maka dilakukan subsitusi ion dopan terhadap ion Fe3+. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada pengaruh konsentrasi ion dopan dengan variasi x = 0,2; 0,4; 0,6; 0,8 dan 1. Hasil analisis XRD menunjukkan 100% fasa Barium M-Heksaferit pada x = 0,8 dan diperoleh fasa sekunder berupa Hematit dan Franklinit pada nilai x lainya. Hasil tersebut didukung oleh analisa FTIR dan SEM-EDX, yang diperoleh nilai panjang gelombang pembentukan, morfologi material dan elemen-elemen yang terkandung pada Barium M-Heksaferit (BaFe12-2xCuxZnxO19), diperoleh persebaran ion dopan dengan persentasi 2,78 - 2,89%. Hasil analisa VSM menunjukkan bahwa diperoleh nilai medan koersivitas (Hc) 0,0205 – 1,31 Tesla dengan nilai perbandingan magnetisasi remanensi (Mr) terhadap magnetisasi saturasi (Ms) 0,19 – 0,49. Hasil uji konduktivitas listrik diperoleh nilai 0,0352 – 0,0426 S/cm. ======================================================================================= Research on powder synthesis of Barium M-Hexaferrite (BaFe12-2xCuxZnxO19) using BaCO3, iron stone as a source of Fe in form of Hematite (α-Fe2O3) and was doped with Cu2+ and Zn2+ ions with solid state method and calcined at 1000oC for 5 hours has been conducted. Barium M-Heksaferrite (BaFe12O19) which is a material has a very high magnetization properties. To reduce magnetism properties but does not alter the crystal structure, substituted Fe3+ ions by dopant ions. This current study is focused on the influence of concentration of dopant ions with x value of 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1. The result of XRD analysis shown that, the best Barium M-Hexaferrite (BaFe12-2xCuxZnxO19) have formed 100%, it was obtained at x = 0.8. In the other x have obtained secondary phases that are Hematite and Franklinite. These results have been supported by FTIR and SEM-EDX analysis, it was obtained the wavelenght values in material formation, the material morphology and the elements contained of Barium M-Hexaferrite (BaFe12-2xCuxZnxO19) that the dopant ions have spread evenly with a content 2.78 – 2.89%. The result of VSM analysis shown that the coercivity field is 0.0205 – 1.31 Tesla with ratio of remanensi magnetization (Mr) to saturation magnetization (Ms) in between 0.19 – 0.49. Barium M-Hexaferrite (BaFe12-2xCuxZnxO19) have electrical conductivity value 0.0352 – 0.0426 S/cm.
