Abstract
Naskah kuno harus dijaga keutuhan dan keasliannya karena didalamnya terdapat banyak informasi yang penting yang ditulis oleh pemikir terdahulu. Naskah tersebut biasanya disimpan di perpustakaan dan museum dalam waktu jangka yang lama. Karena hal tersebut, tentunya ada beberapa naskah yang sudah tidak utuh dan mengalami kerusakan – kerusakan dikarenakan kertas yang sudah tua sehingga mengalami kelapukan. Oleh karena itu, pencegahan perlu dilakukan. Salah satunya dengan cara mengubah naskah kuno menjadi citra digital yang diperoleh dengan menangkap citra dengan kamera. Akan tetapi, ketika sebuah naskah kuno telah menjadi citra digital, noise yang ada pada kertas pun akan ikut terlihat. Untuk itu, perlu adanya segmentasi citra. Segmentasi citra pada naskah kuno memiliki banyak metode salah satunya dengan menggunakan metode local adaptive thresholding. Segementasi merupakan proses untuk memisahkan sebuah objek dari background atau latar.. Penelitian ini menggunakan lima data uji dan metode yang digunakan yaitu metode mean-c, metode sauvola dan metode niblack.. Dilakukan pula pengujian pengukuran evaluasi dengan menggunakan MSE dan PSNR berbasis ground-truth. Dari ketiga metode tersebut, pada evaluasi visual Metode Sauvola dan Metode Mean-C menghasilkan hasil yang baik dan sedangkan Metode Niblack banyak meninggalkan noise. Rata – rata pengukuran MSE dan PSNR dari kelima data dari Metode Mean-c adalah 2813,71 dan 75,58 dB, hasil dari MSE dan PSNR Metode Sauvola sebesar 3308,16 dan 70,152 dan terakhir uji Metode Niblack menghasilkan MSE dan PSNR sebesar 8998,51 da 45,99 dB.=================================================================================== The ancient manuscripts must be preserved wholeness and authenticity because in them there is much important information written by earlier thinkers. The manuscripts are usually kept in libraries and museums for long periods of time. Because of this, of course there are some manuscripts that are not intact and suffered damages due to paper that is old. Therefore, prevention needs to be done. One of them by turning the ancient script into a digital image obtained by capturing the image with the camera. However, when an ancient manuscript has become a digital image, the noise on the paper will also be visible. For that, the need for image segmentation. Image segmentation in ancient script has many methods one of them by using local adaptive thresholding method. Segmentation is the process of separating an object from background. This research uses five test data and the method used is Mean-C Method, Sauvola Method and Niblack Method.The evaluation using MSE and PSNR based on ground-truth. Of the three methods, the visual evaluation of the Sauvola Method and the Mean-C Method are good results and the Niblack Method still left much noises. The average measurements of MSE and PSNR from the five data from the Mean-c Method are 2813,71 and 75,58 dB, the results of MSE and PSNR Sauvola Methods are 3308.16 and 70,152 and the last test of the Niblack Method of MSE and PSNR are 8998, 51 and 45.99 dB.
