Abstract

================================================================== The maritime transportation takes a role to responsible related to environment protection, therefore the measurement should be done for logistic and related maritime transportation scope that already developed by IMO to reduce emission from vessel. This research aim to find the optimum operational speed in accordance to reduce fuel consumption by using energy efficiency operational indicator (EEOI) concept. By comparing the recorded EEOI with predicted EEOI, the error represents hull and propeller fouling and engine degradation performance. The study shown that for AHTS BNI Castor gives 4.219% error for 13 months of operation, while AHTS BNI Capella gives 5.19% error for 14 months of operation. Dry docking effect by using AHTS Tropic Orion that gives about 6.57% of error reduction due to maintenance while dry-docking. The error as the basis to determine tho ship speed reduction, where the 0.5 knot of speed reduction gives a fuel consumption reduction about 0.58% for BNI Castor, in contrary gives about 7.31% addition sailing time. Fuel consumption reduces about 0.5% when the speed reduction applied to BNI Capella about 0.5 knot, but gives about 4.88% of additional sailing time. By applying slower speed will gives more reduction to fuel consumption, while the consequence will add the sailing time. The environment condition plays big role related to fuel consumption reduction.
