Abstract

====================================================================Today many industries produce different kinds of objects. And to support the production, each factory has a place to distribute the object. The distribution of the objects will move that from one place to another and may be distributed to a higher place.
Therefore it takes a device that can used to move the object quickly from one place to another and can classify object based on elevation. The process of grouping these items using infrared sensors to detect the height of things. Then, after the object are detected high, the conveyor will move the object to another conveyor that matches the height of the things. Things detected by infrared are also directly calculated and the data will be displayed on the LCD. These conveyors can group with three different type namely high, medium, and low. Low object have high 3 cm, and medium have 5 cm and high object have 6,5 cm. For high object will be distributed to the end of bottom conveyor. And for medium object will be distributed to a higher conveyor. And for the low object will be distributed to bottom conveyor and will be pushed using pusher in mid conveyor.
The result of the grouping and counter object is the grouping of object sometimes error occurs. This happens because of the difference in infrared sensor detection distance. The infrared sensors used can detect with a maximum distance of 2.2 - 2.5 cm. Detecting sensor speed is between 0.25 - 2.57 second. The percentage of grouping errors is 46% due to error detection or because of the stuff involved.
