Abstract

Sistem propulsi merupakan bagian yang sangat penting dalam operasi sebuah kapal. Propeller merupakan bagian dari sistem tersebut. Saat ini, sudah sangat banyak jenis dan variasi propeller yang digunakan, Diantaranya adalah Aseries, B-series, C-Series dan K-Series. Salah satu jenis dari propeller yang ada pada saat ini adalah Ducted Propeller. Dalam penerapannya, propeller jenis ini masih diproduksi dengan pitch distribution yang standar. Dalam dalam tugas akhir ini akan dilakukan penelitian mengenai pengaruh perubahan distribusi pitch terhadap kinerja propeller tersebut. Pengerjaan tugas akhir ini menggunakan metode CFD. Dalam penyelesaiannya, penelitian ini menunjukkan sebuah variasi yang mempunyai efisiensi sebesar 0.97% lebih tinggi dari model dengan variasi distribusi pitch normal ==================================================================================================== The propulsion system is a very important part in the operation of a vessel. One type of propeller that exists today is a ducted propeller. In practice, this type of propeller pitch was produced with the standard distribution. In this final project will be carried out research on the effect of changes in the distribution of the pitch of the propeller performance. This final project using CFD methods. In solution, this study shows a variation that has an efficiency of 0.97% higher than the model with normal pitch variation distribution.
