Abstract

Change over terjadi apabila terdapat proses setup. Tingginya change over menandakan sering terjadi pergantian produk pada lini produksi.

==================================================================================

PT Bayer Indonesia Cropscience Division produces pesticide in form of powder, liquid and pasta. Current OEE of production department is still at 68% due to low availability value. Low availability value is caused by high total duration loss with changeover as the main supporting factor. Changeover occurs for each setup process on production line. High frequency of changeover indicates that frequent product change occurs production line. This research aims to develop production scheduling in parallel filling line that can minimize the frequency setup process. Parallel filling line is divided into two: identic parallel and uniform parallel. In developing production scheduling, there are considerations which are sequence dependent setup time, release time and machine eligibility restriction. This problem is solved with heuristic approach that divided into constructive phase and improvement phase. Constructive phase consists of Least Flexible Job (LFJ) – Longest Processing Time (LPT) and Least Flexible Job (LFJ) – Hungarian Method. Variable Neighborhood Search (VNS) is applied on the improvement phase. This research will compare the actual scheduling model to the proposed heuristic approach. Besides, this research will also compare total duration loss to see the performance of the proposed heuristic approach. With the implementation of proposed heuristic approach, total duration loss can be reduced up to 9.47% for scheduling powder product and up to 17.56% for scheduling liquid product.
