Abstract

The need for electricity will continue to increase along with technological developments and population growth. The development of loads that increase continuously without being balanced with adequate amounts of electrical energy can disrupt the reliability of the system for customers. One way for the availability of electrical energy to be fulfilled without increasing the main generating capacity is to add a distributed generation (DG) on the channel near the load. DG is able to supply additional active power to the electrical energy distribution network. Distribution network connected to DG is called an active distribution network. However, in its installation, DG can cause several problems and one of them is thermal overload. In addition, the introduction of DR (demand response) as a control unit, can be an alternative in managing the pattern of electricity usage by becoming one of the participants that can be controlled in the system. CSP (constraint satisfaction problem)-based active network management (ANM) is one of the effective solutions in managing active distribution networks that are used to overcome DG increase and demand in meeting network criteria requirements. In this final project, CSP will be used to manage DG and DR in maintaining the thermal line at its limit when overload occurs. While the geographic information system (GIS), will facilitate DNO (distribute network operators) in monitoring and controlling ANM in real-time.
