Abstract

Partial discharge (PD) merupakan suatu fenomena yang terjadi pada peralatan tegangan tinggi berupa peluahan sebagian yang menghubungkan dua elektroda terpisah. Partial discharge (PD) dapat menyebabkan penurunan kualitas isolasi, penuaan (aging) dan berpotensi merusak peralatan listrik. Partial discharge dapat terjadi pada isolasi cair dan udara. Partial discharge yang dihasilkan pada isolasi cair dan udara akan dideteksi dengan metode UHF dan leakage current. Pengujian dilakukan pada isolasi cair dan udara berskala laboratorium menggunakan antena microstrip pada bandwidth Ultra high frequency (UHF). Elektroda yang digunakan adalah elektroda point to plane (jarum ke datar) dengan variasi jarak 1 cm, 1.5 cm dan 2 cm. Pemilihan elektroda tersebut karena ketidakseragaman persebaran medan yang tinggi sehingga adanya aktivitas partial discharge lebih mudah terdeteksi. Pembangkit yang digunakan bertipe AC dengan frekuensi antena sebesar 2.4 GHz. Sinyal diambil dengan menggunakan peralatan akuisisi yaitu ultra high frequency (UHF). Data yang diambil akan diolah sehingga menampilkan Phase Resolved Partial discharge (PRPD). Hasil yang telah diolah akan dianalisa karakteristik pengaruh bahan dan jarak elektroda terhadap metode deteksi dengan antena microstrip. Hasil pengujian didapatkan bahwa pengaruh jarak antar elektroda dan jenis media isolasi mempengaruhi pola partial discharge. ================================================================================================ Partial discharge (PD) is a phenomenon happened in high voltage equipment when pre-breakdown condition. This condition connected two electrodes which should be separated. Partial discharge causing degrardation quality of transformer and high voltage circuit breaker..The damage occurs because breakdown voltage will occur after PD and will generate heat, arc and carbonization. Partial discharge can occur in liquid insulation and air insulation . Tests are carried out on laboratory scale air and oil insulation using microstrip antenas on Ultra high frequency (UHF) bandwidth. The electrode used is the electrode point to plane (needle to flat) with variations in distance of 1 cm, 1.5 cm and 2 cm. The electrode selection is due to the high uniformity of field spread so that partial discharge activity is more easily detected. The plant used is an AC type with an antena frequency of 2.4 GHz. The signal is taken using an acquisition equipment, an oscilloscope. The data taken will be processed so that it displays the Phase Resolved Partial discharge (PRPD). The processed results will be analyzed for the effect characteristics of the material and the distance of the electrode to the detection method with the microstrip antena. The experiment results that the effect of the distance between the electrodes and the type of insulation media affected the PD pattern.
