Abstract

Sistem Komunikasi High Frequency (HF) adalah sistem komunikasi jarak jauh yang bekerja pada spektrum frekuensi 3-30 MHz dan sistem komunikasi ini digunakan sebagai komunikasi radio jarak jauh karena memanfaatkan pantulan yang disebabkan oleh ionosfer. Selain itu sistem komunikasi HF ini juga tergolong murah karena tidak membutuhkan repeater untuk mencapai jarak tempuh lebih dari 3.000 km sehingga cocok digunakan di Indonesia yang kondisi geografisnya banyak dipisahkan oleh laut karena merupakan negara kepulauan. Lalu kelebihan lain yang dimiliki sistem komunikasi HF adalah menggunakan peralatan yang relatif mudah untuk diimplementasikan. Komunikasi HF ini bergantung pada kondisi ionosfer seperti ketinggian lapisan ionosfer, letak geografis, aktivitas matahari, cuaca bumi, dan sebagainya. Selain itu untuk meningkatkan ketersediaan kanal yang terbatas pada sistem komunikasi HF maka diimplementasikan antenna multi-input multi-output(MIMO) 2x2 dengan memasang 2 buah antena yang dipasang pada masing-masing pemancar dan penerima. Pengukuran dilakukan dari Surabaya–Merauke, dimana pengukuran ini akan dilakukan dari Surabaya sebagai transmitter lalu Merauke sebagai receiver. Dalam pemodelan kanal MIMO HF membutuhkan parameter respons kanal. Oleh karena itu dilakukan perancangan desain sistem pengukuran untuk mendapatkan respons kanal. ================================================================================================ High Frequency Communication System (HF) is a long-distance communication system that works in the 3-30 MHz frequency spectrum and this communication system is used as long-distance radio communication because it uses reflections caused by the ionosphere. In addition HF communication systems are also relatively cheap because it does not require repeaters to reach a distance of more than 3,000 km so that it is suitable for use in Indonesia where many geographical conditions are separated by the sea because it is an archipelagic country. Then another advantage of the HF communication system is that it uses equipment that is relatively easy to implement. This HF communication depends on ionospheric conditions such as the height of the ionosphere, geographical location, solar activity, earth's weather, and so on. In addition to increasing the availability of channels that are limited to HF communication systems, 2x2 multi-input (MIMO) antennas are implemented by installing 2 antennas installed in each transmitter and receiver. Measurements were made from Surabaya-Merauke, where this measurement will be carried out from Surabaya as a transmitter and then Merauke as a receiver. In modeling the MIMO channel HF requires channel response parameters. Therefore the design of the measurement system design is done to get a channel response.
