Abstract

Pelepasan limbah yang melebihi baku mutu ke lingkungan akan menimbulkan berbagai jenis penyakit sehingga perlu dilakukan perbaikan dalam pelayanan sanitasi. Semakin banyak limbah yang dihasilkan maka semakin besar pula masa kontaminan dan nutrien yang harus disisihkan. Limbah tinja sebelum diolah masih mengandung kadar BOD, COD, TSS, pH, minyak dan lemak, serta Escherichia coli yang masih tinggi. Lumpur tinja jika tidak diolah dengan benar dapat menimbulkan kontaminasi yang berpotensi mencemari badan air apabila dilepas langsung ke lingkungan. Perlunya pengurangan dan pencegahan paparan polutan ke tubuh manusia dan pencemaran media lingkungan (tanah, air, udara). Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan dampak proses pengolahan lumpur tinja dengan pendekatan life cycle assesssment (LCA) dan menentukan cara mengurangi dampak dengan pendekatan life cycle assessment (LCA). Life cycle assessment (LCA) digunakan untuk melakukan penilaian dampak lingkungan dengan metode Impact 2002+. Data setiap siklus proses pengolahan dianalisis dengan software SimaPro 8.5. LCA adalah sebuah mekanisme untuk menganalisis dan memperhitungkan dampak lingkungan total dari suatu produk dalam setiap tahapan daur hidupnya. Tahapan life cycle assessment (LCA), yaitu goal dan scope, life cycle inventory (LCI), life cycle impact assessment (LCIA), interpretation data. Kemudian dilakukan pemilihan alternatif yang optimum dengan menggunakan metode analytical hierarcy process (AHP). Metode AHP terdiri dari penyusunan permasalahan secara hirarki, menetapkan prioritas, dan mengukur konsistensi logis menggunakan aplikasi expert choice (EC). Aplikasi expert choice terdiri dari penetapan prioritas dan nilai prioritasnya. Hasil dari masing-masing proses pengolahan berbeda-beda. Kontribusi dampak dari analisis LCA pada proses pengolahan lumpur tinja adalah global warming sebesar 15947,848 kg CO2/tahun, diikuti oleh non renewable energy sebesar 103431 MJ dan aquatic eutrophication 0,003409 PDF-m2.y. Setelah diketahui dampak lingkungan dilakukan analisis alternatif. Analisis alternatif digunakan sebagai dasar dalam penentuan prioritas cara mengurangi kontribusi dampak dalam proses pengolahan lumpur tinja di IPLT Keputih. Alternatif terpilih yang digunakan untuk mengurangi kontribusi dampak adalah melakukan perawatan peralatan pengolahan secara terjadwal dengan nilai sebesar 48,1%. ================================================================================================ Disposal of waste that exceeds quality standards into the environment will cause various types of diseases so that improvements need to be made in sanitation services. Feces if not treated properly can cause contamination that has the potential to contaminate water bodies when released directly into the environment. The need for reduction and prevention of exposure to pollutants into the human body and pollution of environmental media (soil, water, air). This study aims to determine the impact of sludge treatment processes using the life cycle assessment (LCA) approach and determine how to reduce impacts with the life cycle assessment (LCA) approach. Life cycle assessment (LCA) was used to conduct an environmental impact assessment with the Impact 2002+ method. Data for each cycle of the processing process was analyzed using SimaPro 8.5 software. LCA is a mechanism for analyzing and calculating the total environmental impact of a product in each stage of its life cycle. Stages of life cycle assessment (LCA), namely goals and scope, life cycle inventory (LCI), life cycle impact assessment (LCIA), data interpretation. Then the optimum alternative selection is done by using the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method. The AHP method consists of structuring problems in a hierarcy manner, setting priorities, and measuring logical consistency using the application expert choice (EC). The expert choice application consists of setting priorities and priority values. The results of each treatment process various. The contributon impact of the LCA analysis on the treatment process of sludge is global warming of 15947.848 kg CO2/year, followed by non renewable energy of 103431 MJ and aquatic eutrophication 0.003409 PDF-m2.y. After finding out the environmental impact is carried out an alternative analysis. Alternative analysis is used as a basis in determining the priority of ways to reduce the contribution of impacts in the treatment process of sludge in Keputih IPLT. The chosen alternative used to reduce the impact contribution is doing to maintenance of scheduled processing equipment with a respondent value of 48.1%.
