Abstract

================================================================================================
A ground movement monitoring system is a system used to monitor parameters that affect soil movement. The parameters monitored in this study were changes in angle and soil moisture content. Angular changes were measured using an inclinometer based on MPU 6050 accelerometer and the level of soil moisture was measured using a moisture sensor from DfRobot. The prototipe tool is a multi segment inclinometer based on Arduino Mega 2560 as a microcontroller. The multi segment inclinometer method has the advantage of being able to read ground movements through changes in angles that vary with depth. The prototipe tools and systems built in this study use hardware and software with an open source license so that the manufacture is easier and cheaper. The prototipe tool is tested on a slope model. Tests carried out were angle effect test and water addition test. The test results of the effect of the angle before the landslide occur an angle change of 6 ° in half a second. In the water addition test the angle changes by 7 ° -12 ° in half a second. Change in water content before the landslide were 21%. Data obtained from sensors is displayed in real time using the Processing interface and stored in .csv extensions. The results of data analysis indicate that the monitoring system that has been made can read indications of landslides.
