Abstract

The construction of the XYZ bridge has a very strategic role on Madura Island, because it can increase the economic activities of the distribution of goods and services and tourism activities based on Presidential Regulation No.27 of 2008 concerning the XYZ Regional Development Agency. It is often found that the allocation of human resources is not ideally distributed so that fluctuating human resource allocations arise. The number of suitable workers is very important for the implementation of this project. If the existing number of labor exceeds the optimal number, then the project experiences waste in allocating labor. However, if the number of workers available is less than the optimal number, then the load will exceed the capacity of the worker. This research is expected to optimize the number of workers in construction projects. This study uses a stop watch time study method to find the standard time for completion of a construction work. After obtaining standard time after that the author calculates the number of workers. In this study, there was a reduction in the number of workers in 60x60 ceramic work, 40x40 anti-slip terracotta ceramic work, restroom ceramic floor work, iron painting work and wood partition painting work.
