Abstract

Permasalahan transportasi darat di industri semen menjadi perihal yang menarik untuk diteliti karena memiliki dua karakter truk yang berbeda, baik dari segi produknya, ukuran muatan, bentuk, dan ongkos pengiriman. Ini disebabkan oleh dua jenis pengemasan produk semen yang dikirimkan ke pelanggan, yaitu berupa semen kemasan kantong, dan semen dalam curah. Penelitian ini membahas tentang permasalahan transportasi di industri semen Indonesia dengan mempertimbangkan adanya truk yang memuat semen kantong dan semen curah dengan metode linear programming. Hasil optimalisasi menjadi usulan bagi perusahaan dalam melakukan perencanaan alokasi dari sumber pasokan ke distrik pemasaran agar mencapai target penjualan yang telah ditetapkan namun dengan biaya seminimal mungkin. Adapun potensi pengurangan biaya supply chain jika dibandingkan antara pasokan permintaan eksisting dengan pasokan permintaan yang optimal maka didapatkan penghermatan hingga sebesar Rp 8,4 M.

Land transportation problem in the cement industry is interesting because it has two different truck characters, in terms of their products, their load size, forms, and shipping costs. This is caused by two types of cement packaging sent to customers, which consist of bag cement and bulky cement. This study discusses land transportation model in the Indonesian cement industry with consideration of trucks containing bag cement and bulk cement using linear programming methods. Optimization results are proposed for companies in planning the allocation of supply sources to the sales district in order to achieve the set of sales targets at the minimum cost. As for the potential reduction in supply chain costs, it can save up to IDR 8.4 billion when existing supplies compared to optimal supplies.
