Abstract

WR. Supratman sebagai salah satu Pahlawan Nasional yang bergerak dalam bidang kesenian, kisahnya kurang populer dibandingkan pahlawan lainnya. Kisah WR. Supratman telah ada dalam bentuk biografi dan film, namun kurang diminati. Pengadaptasian biografi WR. Supratman melalui pendekatan sudut pandang yang lebih modern, diharapkan mampu menjadikan kisah sejarah WR. Supratman lebih diminati oleh target dari perancangan ini, yaitu remaja.
Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode kualitatif serta kuantitatif data primer, dan data sekunder. Metode kualitatif, yaitu observasi, dan depth interview. Studi eksperimen dilakukan untuk eksperimen ke ahli. Metode kuantitatif yaitu kuesioner, dan data sekunder melalui studi eksisting, studi literatur, dan observasi artefak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memperoleh konten dan konsep dalam perancangan animasi fiksi adaptasi kisah hidup WR. Supratman yang disukai remaja, baik dari segi visual, dan alur cerita.
Kesimpulan yang didapatkan dari perancangan ini adalah, dengan pengadaptasian sejarah WR. Supratman yang memunculkan tokoh fiksi serta percampuran genre drama dan petualangan, berhasil menjadi daya tarik animasi dengan genre sejarah yang sebelumnya sulit untuk dicapai, dan berhasil mengenalkan tokoh WR. Supratman serta meningkatkan kecintaan kepada tokoh pahlawan dengan parameter sejauh mana tingkat anak dalam menghargai sebuah karya seni, keteladanan, moral, dan mengerti perjuangan pahlawan.

WR. Supratman as one of the National Heroes engaged in the arts, his story is less popular than other heroes. WR.Supratman’s story has been exist in the form of biography and film, but it is less attractive to the market as evidenced by the number of viewers who are far below the target. Adaptation of WR. Supratman’s biography through a modern perspective approach, expected to be able to make WR.Supratman’s story is more in demand by the target market of this design.
The method used in the study is qualitative and quantitative methods of primary data, and secondary data. Qualitative methods used is observation, and depth interviews. Experimental studies were conducted for experiments to experts. The quantitative method is a questionnaire, and secondary data through existing studies, literature studies, and observation of artifacts. The purpose of this study was to obtain content and concepts in designing the animation of WR.Supratman’s life story that liked by teenagers, both in terms of visuals and storyline.
The conclusion obtained from this design is, by adapting the history of WR. Supratman, who gave rise to fictional characters and the mix of drama and adventure genres, managed to become an attraction for animation with historical genres that were previously difficult to achieve, and managed to introduce WR. Supratman’s figure and increase the love of hero figures with respecting a work of art, exemplary, moral, and understand the struggle of heroes as the parameters.
