Abstract

Salah satu industri menggunakan xilan sebagai bahan baku pembuat gula xilitol, melalui proses hidrolisis xilan menjadi xilosa, kemudian dihidrogenasi menjadi xilitol. Proses tersebut membutuhkan proses netralisasi dengan larutan HCL dan NaOH. Continuous stirred tank reacktor (CSTR) merupakan suatu wadah yang di dalamnya terjadi reaksi kimia pembentukan atau penguraian. Didalam CSTR ini terjadi reaksi pencampuran antara larutan HCL dan NaOH dimana larutan NaOH akan dikendalikan menggunakan sistem kontrol PID. PID sendiri merupakan pengendalian yang hanya dapat dicapai jika sistem memuat parameter dari proses yang akan dikendalikan, baik secara implisit maupun eksplisit. Uji coba dilakukan dengan open loop, close loop, serta uji disturbance pada simulink matlab. Perancangan sistem pengendalian pH pada CSTR (Continuous Stirred-Tank Reactor) yang dilakukan uji close loop dengan menggunakan kontrol PID waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk mencapai set point pH 7 (netral) steady state adalah 18 detik dimana tidak terjadi overshoot serta error. ================================================================================================ One industry uses xylan as the raw material for making xylitol sugars, through the process of xylan hydrolysis to xylose, then hydrogenated to xylitol. The process requires a neutralization process with a solution of HCL and NaOH. A continuous stirred tank reacktor (CSTR) is a container where chemical formation or decomposition occurs. In CSTR, there will be a mixing reaction between HCL and NaOH solution while NaOH solution will be managed using a PID control system. PID itself is a controller that can only be completed if the system. The parameters of the process will be integrated, both implicitly and explicitly. Trials are carried out with open loop, closed loop, and interference tests on matlab simulink. The design of the pH control system on CSTR (Continuous Stirred-Tank Reactor) conducted by closed loop test using PID control the time needed to reach the pH 7 (neutral) set point steady state is 18 seconds which can be overshooted and errors.
