Abstract

Ankle injury adalah sebuah kondisi cidera pada area ankle yang berupa ankle fracture atau pun ankle sprain yang terjadi karena beberpa sebab, diantaranya karena kecelakaan. salah satu penanganan akibat ankle injury adalah dengan pemasangan gips. Penggunaan gips asih saja mengandung beberapa masalah anatara lain yaitu menyebabkan iritasi pada kulit, tidak boleh terkena air, dan kaki terasa kram saat pemasangan karena tidak tersedianya support. Desain 3D cast fixation ini akan dibuat agar pengguna merasa lebih nyaman, baik dari segi pemakaian maupun segi kenyaman saat pemasangan. Dengan adanya pembutan fiksasi dengan metode rapid prototyping dan menggunakan material ABS dan lapisan fiksasi yang lembut dan tidak melukai kulit, sehingga pengguna pun dapat leluasa dalam melakukan aktivitasnya.

Ankle injury is a condition of injury in the ankle area in the form of an ankle
fracture or ankle sprain that occurs due to several reasons, including an accident. one
treatment due to ankle injury is by placing a cast. The use of gypsum only contains
a number of problems, among others, causing irritation to the skin, not being exposed
to water, and legs feeling cramped during installation due to unavailability of
support. This 3D cast fixation design will be made so that users feel more
comfortable, both in terms of usage and in terms of comfort during installation. With
the existence of fixation with rapid prototyping method and using ABS material and
fixation layer that is soft and does not injure the skin, so users can be free in carrying
out their activities.
